This is just instructions on how to increase the size of 24 - 12” Sampler Blocks. This will be set

On Point.

You will need the following:

3 1/4 yards of Background for Setting triangles and alternating blocks.

3/4 yard for 1st Border.

1 5/8th yard for 2nd Border.

1 Extra Block or Fabric for the Center Block 12 1/2”x 12 1/2” piece. (The 25th Block)

 

From background fabric cut 6 - 12 1/2” strips, then sub-cut strips into 16 - 12 1/2”x12 1/2” squares.

Next cut 1 - 9 3/8” strip, then sub-cut into 2 - 9 3/8” x 9 3/8” squares. Cut each square diagonally once.  This will be the corner pieces.

 

Then cut 3 - 18 1/8” strips, sub-cut into 6 - 18 1/8”x 18 1/8” squares, sub-cut each square

diagonally  twice.  You will need 24 of the setting triangles.

 

1st Border fabric cut 9 - 2 1/2” strips.

2nd Border fabric cut 10 - 5 1/2” strips

 

Remember you will have to put your quilt together in diagonal rows, starting and ending with

Setting triangles.

When finished your quilt should be approx. 99”x99”
